 What is Botox and Fillers?

Botox is the trade name for botulinum toxin. It is an injectable medicine used to relax the muscles, which are responsible the fine wrinkles on the face like the frown lines on the forehead or the crows feet on the sides of the eyes. It is also injected on the jaw muscle to give a more chiseled look.

Fillers, as the name suggests, they are substances that put to space or container to fill it. The best part is that they are dissolving after a couple of hours. They are used to fade the laugh lines, the marionette lines, to plump up the lips, to augment the cheekbones, to make the nose look sharper and chin augmentation as well.

What are threads?

They are done in slightly older people usually in 45 years old whereas Botox and fillers can be  done from 35 years onward. They are useful when there is lot of sagging skin and we want to pull it up. It is safe and bears no side effects. However, one must go to a well-trained and experienced hand. The role of cosmetologist comes here; to give the right advice and to customize the treatment needed for every different individual.

Botox is not the magic serum. It has to be given in the right area, in the right time and the right dose or it will give a plastic look to the face. It is often given in combination with the fillers.
